Снимок1Are you a young scientist who work in public health sector or veterinary health? Have a dream to attend world lead science event and show what you are really worth? If so, have a try to get the One Health travel grant that will cover all your expenses related to the participation in the 5th International One Health Congress to be held in Saskatoon, Canada on June 22-25, 2018. Congress organizers provide an opportunity for young researchers to receive financial support that will cover registration fee, accommodation and tickets. Application submission deadline is October 15, 2017.

The competition is open to participants from all over the globe. To be eligible, however, applicants must:

– be senior PhD students (expected to complete their dissertations within a year of the Congress) or must hold a PhD or a clinical qualification for no longer than 3 years at the time of the application. Special considerations (e.g. maternity/paternity leave) will be taken into account.

– submit the completed One Health Fellowship Fund Application Form, a proof of status (on institution’s letterhead from a faculty member or Department Head) and a research abstract (either as an author or a co-author).

Their research must focus on one of the congress main programme themes:

  • Pathogen discovery
  • Drivers for emerging diseases
  • Diagnostics and syndrome surveillance
  • Pathogenesis
  • Ecology
  • Underprivileged communities
  • Vaccines
  • Intervention strategies
  • Politics and social science
  • Antimicrobial resistance

Application forms, proofs of status and research abstracts must be e-mailed to Mr. David De Pooter at  d.depooter@onehealthplatform.com by 15 October 2017.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance/rejection no later than 2 November 2017.

Конкурс відкритий для учасників зі всього світу, які відповідають нижче наведеним критеріям:

  1. Є аспірантами останніх років навчання (захист дисертації запланований на той самий рік, що і Конгрес)/ або ті, що вже отримали науковий ступінь чи пройшли клінічну спеціалізацію не більше, ніж 3 роки тому, на період подання заявки. Особливі виключення, такі як, декретна відпустка, тощо, можуть також бути взяті до уваги.
  2. Подали повністю заповнену анкету учасника, документ, що підтверджує місце роботи/навчання в аспірантурі/отриманий науковий ступінь (на офіційному бланку установи від імені завідувача відділення/кафедри), та тези, у яких учасник конкурсу виступає автором чи співавтором.

Тези повинні бути зосереджені на одній із тем конгресу:

  • Відкриття патогенів
  • Фактори, що сприяють виникненню нових захворювань
  • Діагностика та спостереження за синдромами
  • Патогенез
  • Екологія
  • Спільноти, позбавлені прав
  • Вакцини
  • Стратегії втручання
  • Політичні та соціальні науки
  • Антимікробна резистентність
